What an excellent experience. The criterion for a fantastic show seems (for me) to be the placement of an orchestra* (in my mind) around the performer i.e. the scales and interconnection of both.
*Probably due to the TRUE root meaning of orchestra – not the twisted ‘testicle’ version (I mean…. REALLY….) – and kdL is up there at 10, or even 11, with her beautiful, searing voice. As a reviewer in a national newspaper commented: her voice is simply a “Versatile weapon of mass seduction”.
Most definitely my all-time favourite Country artist – after Talking Heads…..
Fab to be around masses of very strong and determined wimin (i.e. left of centre) and made me think “What a shame they seem to develop male genitalia and Egos once they become world leaders whether in politics or business”, i.e. total erosion of the mythical Mother Universe characteristics such as love, empathy.
Well, that’s money, Ego and power for you.
I also heard kdL on the Graham Norton (Radio 2) show last Saturday and she mentioned how she hates it when an audience member calls out “Take your kit off!”.
Well I have a suggestion for kdL’s future shows: when the inimitable call comes out of the audience for kdL to bare her body, a techie could wheel out a cardboard cut-out (flesh coloured of course) of kdL that is totally genitals- and breast- free (as cartoon characters used to appear) and shows instead:
(1) an illuminated brain and spine, with pulsing, bright throat chakra and 3rd Eye point;
Yep, the above may JUST…… border on FARCE, but it will get a message across to those obsessed with people’s physical attributes i.e. the most superficial level that exists and the lowest chakra point (sex) only to get a hit.
kdL was wearing Black, White and Red.
Food for thought.
